"While his previous releases mainly explored the melancholic and noisy side of ambient, on Image Line he turns his attention to vocals and different ways of manipulating autotune. Drawing inspiration from a myriad of influences, Late Dinner once again explores a blurred line between irony and sincerity through a series of interrupted miniatures. Trap Tex (Because I Can't Without You) and Pager (Because Dials Are Not Safe Enough) rely on thrill seeking sentimentalism of commercial trap and glittery pop against a solemn background infused with deep sinewave bass, whereas sheer beauty of „Love Letter To Belgrade“ captures unfiltered expression of loneliness which haunts most of Late Dinner's previous work. The additional track „I Wanna Die At Thunderdome“ marries aggressive anxiety of a hardcore beat with plastic fragmented vocals, highlighting the conflicting and strikingly poetic nature of the release."
